Sports New Media received a boost with the news that social networking has overtaken e-mails as the number one online activity for the British Internet surfer.
A study by the UK Online Measurement company (UKOM) has revealed Britons spend 22.7% of their time on sites such as Facebook with e-mail at just 7.2%
Sports New Media is at the forefront of the online sports market and has 4.8 million users interacting through Facebook alone with a further 1.2 million on it’s e-mail database.
Nick Thain, Sports New Media CEO said: “This is great news for Sports New Media because we have the largest Facebook and E-mail database for sport in the UK.”
The study shows we now spend 22 hours and 15 minutes online every month, 65% more than three years ago.
