  • Sports New Media can celebrate a landmark achievement in the growth of their facebook fan pages, with the total fan base passing the 10 million mark.

    With over 600 fan pages representing players in all four professional divisions, the company have managed to provide a quality service on every page with news, videos, interviews and live match information keeping the fans coming back for more.

    Taking advantage of the World Cup period, Sports New Media have grown at an average of two new fans every three seconds. An increase of 5.2 million fans in three months (May 18th-August 18th) has taken the company into eight figure territory, strengthening its position on the social media website.

    Fernando Torres (2,437,063) and Cesc Fabregas (779,238) deciding to stay in the Premier League provided a boost for both Sports New Media and Premier League fans, whilst homegrown players like Wayne Rooney (926,332) and Steven Gerrard (1,266,515) continue to grow.

    Encouragingly, newly created Fan Pages have seen a growth during pre-season, and with the new campaign under way this shows no sign of slowing down. At the current time, Fan Pages are growing at 56,000 a day (total).

    An increased effort to get players involved has been made in a bid to gives fans even more for their support. Professional players like Darren Bent, Glen Johnson and Rio Ferdinand continue to get involved, and facilities are in place for any player to provide content for their fans.

    With plans already in place to provide a Fan Page for every player in the Premier and Football League, the company are confident that growth can be sustained and even increased as fans continue to get a quality service around the World.
