Sports New Media received yet more recognition for their work on facebook after being shortlisted in the ‘Best Use of Social Networking’ category in the Reputation Online Effectiveness Awards.
The company has experienced a rapid growth on the fan pages, connecting brands with over eight million fans on facebook after starting from just a few thousand less than a year ago.
Initial recognition for work on the pages came at the end of June, with Sports New Media winning the business category of ‘Sport’ at the prestigious NMA Awards. Additionally, the company were shortlisted in the ‘Best Use of Social Media’ category.
The business has continued to grow since then, and the latest acknowledgement from another industry-leading website adds another string to the bow of Sports New Media.
This year is the inaugural Reputation Online Effectiveness Awards, with the ‘latest addition of the New Media Age family’ looking to provide proper recognition for achievements at both corporate and consumer level.
With a panel of judges that included senior figures from Google, Linkedin and Facebook to name a few, this recognition represents another coup for the business, as noted by managing director Jae Chalfin.
After the success of Sports New Media at the NMA Awards, it’s great to be recognised by another distinguished media outlet like Reputation Online.”
Nick Thain, CEO of Sports New Media, was also delighted to be shortlisted for the Award.
The shortlists in all eight awards are competitive, and we are delighted to come up against some well-respected companies and agencies in the ‘Best Use of Social Networking’ category.
It shows that Sports New Media has grown as a company in the past year, and can compete on a number of levels against powerhouses in the industry.”
The Reputation Online Effectiveness Awards ceremony will take place on September 23rd in Covent Garden.
